should I
Adopt a Dog?
Dogs are our friends. We don’t just like them as pets, we care for them. Sure, they may look cute and cuddly, but they are also sensitive, intelligent beings deserving of our utmost respect and kindness. Adopting a dog saves the lives of thousands of dogs every year. In addition, Fostering is when you take care of a puppy until it is old enough to go home. You may also foster a dog. You can foster dogs of all ages.

How to avoid picking the wrong pet?
Our volunteers will teach you about choosing and caring for your new best friend. After this training period, you will be free to bring your new dog home. There are many things to consider before adopting a dog such as temperament, age, health condition, etc… These factors will determine whether your dog will fit well into your household. We recommend taking your time to find the right companion. It might take several visits to the shelter until you find the perfect match.

Vet Q&A: Are dogs for adoption healthy?
Yes, they are. Most dogs that have been found have been taken care of general medical treatment . Some dogs come with minor injuries such as scrapes and bruises. Others come with serious conditions like heartworms, which can be fatal. All dogs undergo a thorough physical examination upon arrival. They also get treated for any illnesses that may arise during their stay.
What happens when the adoption fee is paid? The fee covers the costs of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming and general medical treatment. All fees are non-refundable. After this you can take the dog home.
